Double J & D Acres Smooth Coat Curlies

One of the most wonderful and unique qualities of the Curly horse is that they come in a variety of different coat types.They could be as curly as a poodle or poker straight and look like a typical non-curly horse. Like the curly coated Curlies the smooth coated Curlies have proven to be hypoallergenic, so those horse lovers who aren't that fond of the curly coat can own a hypoallergenic smooth coated mount. At double J & D Acres we have two smooth coat Curly ponies. Mystic Moon (Luna) and Bucky's Sweet Baylee EB(owned by Herb Irwin) Both Luna and Baylee will be used in our breeding program. Baylee will be bred to *Gentleman Jim in 2009 for a 2010 foal and then in 2010 bred to *Lex for a 2011 foal and Luna will be bred to *Gentleman Jim in 2010 for a 2011 foal. We are extremely excited to see not only the colour of these foals but what coat type each foal will have.

Mystic Moon (Luna)

Luna was our first smooth coat Curly pony bought from Shelly White of Curly Standard Place in Summerland BC in 2006. Luna's coat is full of huge swirls and small crimping curls are seen in her ears. She is bunny soft and has proven to be hypoallergenic to our family. Luna will be used as a riding mount as soon as she matures and will be used in our 2010 breeding program.
