Poplar is an exceptionally well put together Curly pony. Her sire is a registered Curly sport pony that is an amazing all round kids pony and we expect nothing less from this little girl. She is so easy to handle and is a favorite pony with the kids at our Day Camp program. Poplar is loaded full of curls and carries her sire's sabino markings. 2010 Curly pony filly

This year we were so fortunate to have a second Curly pony filly born here at Double J & D Acres. *Summer is a beautiful minimal tobiano bay pony. She will stay really tiny as both her parents are small ponies. *Summer's sire is *Gentleman Jim who came from one the the very first Curly pony lines, the McKay pony line. This line of ponies was said to have descended from Original Curly Jim...see more information on Curly Jim here. *Summer will make an exceptional pony for breeding to Miniature Horses as there are only a few Miniature Curly Horses in existence today. To date *Summer is one of the smallest Curly ponies in the world. She comes from two ICHO registered Curly ponies and she is also eligible for registration with ICHO. Mystic Moon AKA Luna

Our search for Luna is what inspired us to breed small Curly ponies. With horse allergies in the family we were limited to the Curly horse and it's hypoallergenic qualities. When we began our search for a Curly pony we didn't realize how difficult they were to find. The few Curly ponies we did come across were between 13-14hh and we felt they were much to large for a four year old to be carting around. After searching for an entire year we finally found a miniature mare in foal, the sire being a Curly pony. We were very fortunate to come across this mare and future foal since the foal was not even advertised for sale. We waited for several months for the arrival of this foal and we were so please when it finally arrived; this little filly was all we could have asked for.
